PlainsCapital Bank Welcomes New Denton Banking Group

March 18, 2021

Dallas-based PlainsCapital Bank recently welcomed a new lending team to serve the Denton area. Ernie McGee serves as president; James E. Posey and Alex Eysermans serve as senior vice presidents and commercial loan officers; Kevin Hodge serves as a commercial loan officer; and Jeanette Hoffman serves as senior lending assistant. The new Denton banking group marks PlainsCapital’s latest expansion in Texas, having opened new branches in The Woodlands and Lubbock last year.

“The group has a wealth of financial services experience in the Denton market, which will enhance our ability to foster commercial and real estate relationships while serving our clients’ banking needs in the area,” says Steve Hambrick, Texas region chairman.

Ernie McGee joins PlainsCapital from Independent Bank, where he led a commercial lending team as market president in the North Texas area. He has 31 years of banking experience, including 13 in the Denton market. McGee earned a bachelor’s degree in management from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a BBA degree from Georgia College and an MBA degree from Mercer University. He serves as a business representative on the Denton ISD Educational Improvement Council, board member for the Denton Public Library Foundation and as a member of the Denton ISD Adopt-A-School program.

James E. Posey has more than 25 years of banking experience, most recently as a principal business relationship manager at Wells Fargo. In his prior role, he managed a $52 million loan portfolio and provided financial solutions to business owners and commercial real estate investors across Texas. Posey received his BBA degree from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA degree with a concentration in finance from Oklahoma City University.

Alex Eysermans joins PlainsCapital from BBVA Compass, having served in several roles there over 10 years, including commercial relationship manager and professional and private banker. He has 19 years of experience in the financial services industry. Eysermans earned his BBA degree in real estate and finance from the University of North Texas and maintains a certificate in commercial credit and lending from the American Bankers Association.

Kevin Hodge joins from Independent Bank where he was a banking officer in commercial lending. He has seven years of banking experience in North Texas. Hodge received his associate degree in science and a certificate in mortgage banking from North Lake Community College, and a bachelor’s degree in integrative studies from the University of North Texas. He is chapter president of the Denton County Ducks Unlimited, serves as treasurer for the Denton Evening Rotary Club and is a member of Denton Young Professionals.

Jeanette Hoffman joins PlainsCapital from BBVA USA where she served as a senior relationship support specialist for a team of relationship managers. She has more than 35 years of financial services experience. Hoffman earned her associate degree in business administration and marketing from Gresham Community Junior College.

Established in 1955, PlainsCapital Bank operates 59 Texas branches. Its major markets include Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Lubbock, the Rio Grande Valley and San Antonio.
