Piland Joins Western Bank to Head New Mortgage Division

November 2, 2023

Allyn PilandLubbock-based Western Bank has named Allyn Piland executive vice president and president of the bank’s new mortgage division. She brings 18 years of market expertise to her new role, having served markets across Texas and New Mexico.

Piland began her career at PrimeWest Mortgage in the servicing department. In 2005, upon graduating from Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in public relations, she returned to PrimeWest Mortgage to serve as a secondary market analyst, mortgage loan processor and assistant loan officer, before being named executive vice president and manager in 2011. In 2018, she was named president of PrimeWest Mortgage.

“This marks an exciting new chapter for our customers and our 115‐year‐ old company,” says Dan Odom, CEO. “Allyn brings an extraordinary reputation of leadership, success and unmatched dedication to customer service to our organization.”

“Western Bank has an outstanding reputation, and I am thrilled to join a growing local bank,” Piland says.

Established in 1909, Western Bank has branches throughout the Texas Panhandle, South Plains, Permian Basin and Big Country.
