Origin Bank Promotes Price to Chief Human Resources Officer

March 15, 2022

Ashlea PriceChoudrant, Louisiana-based Origin Bank has promoted Ashlea Price to the role of chief human resources officer/executive vice president. She has served the organization for more than 14 years in various roles, including director of human resources operations and strategy and human resources services director. She steps into this new position following the retirement of Linda Tuten, former chief people and diversity officer/executive vice president. In her new position, Price will continue to cultivate Origin Bank’s culture, lead strategic efforts to attract top talent to the bank, oversee organizational design and efficiencies, promote diversity, equity and inclusion, and lead many other critical HR initiatives throughout the bank’s markets in Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi.

“Our greatest asset as a company is our people,” says Drake Mills, chairman, president and CEO of Origin Bancorp Inc., Origin Bank’s parent company. “Ashlea’s commitment to our culture and vision will help Origin continue to be an incredible place to work. She will play a key part in executing our strategy to bring high-quality talent to our organization as we grow.”

Price earned a bachelor’s degree in business management and entrepreneurship as well as a master’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology from Louisiana Tech University. She has nearly 20 years of experience in human resources and holds designations as a senior professional in human resources from the Human Resource Certification Institute, a senior certified professional from the Society for Human Resource Management and certified compensation professional from WorldatWork.

“Her dedication, work ethic and proven record of success make Ashlea an excellent fit for this role,” says Lance Hall, president and CEO of Origin Bank. “From the bank’s tremendous growth to the way we navigated the pandemic as a company, Ashlea has risen to meet every challenge and demonstrated her capabilities as a collaborative leader.”

Established in 1912, Origin Bank operates more than 40 banking centers located from Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, across North Louisiana to Central Mississippi, as well as in Houston, Texas.
