Oklahoma-based First United Bank’s Carter Promoted to Senior Talent Acquisition Partner

November 17, 2022

Greg CarterGreg Carter, who joined Durant, Oklahoma-based First United Bank in 2014 as vice president/talent acquisition manager, has been promoted to senior vice president/senior talent acquisition partner. In this role, he will focus on senior-level recruiting, including commercial banking roles such as market presidents and commercial lenders. First United Bank operates 40 branches in Texas.

“Greg is a highly experienced talent acquisition professional with a proven track record of recruiting incredible talent for our organization,” says Wes Shelton, Texas state president at First United Bank. “His ability to connect us with leaders who are a talent and culture fit will continue to be instrumental in supporting our organization as we continue to impact lives.”

Carter holds a BA degree from the University of North Texas. He has two children and resides in Flower Mound, Texas.

Established in 1900, First United Bank has more than 95 bank, mortgage and insurance locations throughout Oklahoma and Texas.
