Munn Hired as Chief Credit Officer at Citizens State Bank

August 3, 2023

“DavidWoodville-based Citizens State Bank has hired David Munn to serve as executive vice president and chief credit officer.

Munn is a Houston-based career banker with 39 years of professional experience. Upon graduating from college, he was hired as an examiner with the Texas Department of Banking. After 28 years of state service, he retired from the department in 2012. Munn then joined the Houston-based accounting firm of Briggs & Veselka Co. as director of business advisory services, providing consulting services to the firm’s banking clients. He continued to work at the firm as a managing director/loan review after 2021, when Briggs & Veselka merged with Crowe LLC.

Munn holds a BBA degree in finance and economics from Texas State University. He is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Established in 1919, Citizens State Bank serves Woodville, Kingwood, Marlin and Warren with five locations.
