The board of directors of First Texas Bank Georgetown has announced the hiring of Alexis Michael as president and chief executive officer. She comes to the bank with more than 20 years of community banking experience, serving the past 19 years in the Central Texas market. Throughout her career, Michael has received recognition for her hard work and dedication to clients. She was selected as an “Emerging Leader” by Texas Bankers Foundation in 2021.
Michael earned an associate degree in accounting from Northwest Florida State College and a bachelor’s degree in human resource management from Park University. She is currently attending the SW Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University (class of 66). Michael is a member of multiple organizations, including Commercial Real Estate Women, for which she served as president in 2017, and the Central Texas chapter of the Risk Management Association, for which she currently serves as a board member.
Established in 1898, First Texas Bank operates seven Central Texas branches in Georgetown, Pflugerville, Cedar Park, Round Rock and Liberty Hill.
