Longview-based Texas Bank and Trust Co. has promoted Ty Maxfield to executive vice president/chief lending officer. Kirk Baur will replace Maxfield as president of the bank’s Richardson location.

Maxfield has worked in the financial services industry since 1994. He joined Texas Bank and Trust in 2015 as executive vice president in Richardson. Prior to that, he was executive vice president/chief credit officer, a director and founding member of Vision Bank–Texas, which subsequently merged with Texas Bank and Trust. He holds a BBA degree in economics from the University of Texas–Tyler. Maxfield is a former president of the Methodist Hospital Foundation board.

Baur has been involved in banking for 30 years and joined Texas Bank and Trust in 2018 as senior vice president/commercial lender in its Richardson branch. He holds a BS degree in liberal arts from Texas A&M University and is a veteran, having served with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves from 1986 to 1993. In 1991, Baur was deployed to Southeast Asia during Operation Desert Storm and was responsible for flightline maintenance on CH-53 heavy-lift aircraft. He has served as a team leader for Habitat for Humanity and as a volunteer for the American Bankers Association Foundation’s “Teach Children to Save” program.
