Massey Promoted to Market President in McKinney for Mississippi-Based BancorpSouth

September 17, 2020

Joseph MasseyTupelo, Mississippi-based BancorpSouth Bank has tapped Joseph Massey as president of its Collin County, Texas, market. He is responsible for overseeing the bank’s three locations in McKinney and Celina, as well as its community involvement and business development efforts. Massey joined the bank in 2015 and most recently served as the community bank president in McKinney. He has 23 years of experience and has worked in a variety of roles, such as teller, investment consultant, operations manager, branch manager and commercial lender.

“Joe has an amazing work ethic and has shown dedication to providing superior service to our customers,” says Lester Lucy, BancorpSouth president, Texas region. “In his new role, he will continue to establish and strengthen our customer relationships in this part of the state.”

Massey received a bachelor’s degree in Japanese and Far Eastern business from the University of Texas–Dallas. He has been active in the McKinney Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club of McKinney and Leadership McKinney.

Established in 1876, BancorpSouth Bank operates approximately 310 branch locations, as well as additional mortgage, insurance and loan production offices in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee and Texas.
