Dallas-based PlainsCapital Bank recently welcomed Bill Leonard to its private bank as wealth strategist in Fort Worth. He will develop customized financial plans and investment strategies for The Private Bank’s clients, aligning their assets with their goals.
Leonard joins PlainsCapital Bank having previously served in the private bank of a large national bank as senior vice president, senior trust and fiduciary specialist. He has more than 33 years of financial services experience in Texas.
“[Leonard] has a proven record of understanding the ins and outs of his clients’ financial situations and goals,” says Rich Wyatt, executive vice president, chief investment officer and chief operating officer of The Private Bank. “His decades of wealth management experience will allow us to continue matching The Private Bank’s clientele with the right investment products and financial strategies.”
Leonard received bachelor’s degrees in business administration and history from Austin College and is an honors graduate of the Cannon Financial Institute. He is also a certified trust and financial advisor and certified IRA services professional through the American Bankers Association. Leonard previously served as a member of the American Bankers Association Institute of Certified Bankers IRA working group. He has held various positions on the North Texas Estate Planning Council, including president, vice president and treasurer. In addition, he has served as member and chairman of the Texas Bankers Association advisory board.
