Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based PNC Bank NA recently announced that Dillan Knudson has been named regional president/head of commercial banking in Austin. PNC Financial Services Group Inc., PNC Bank’s parent company, completed its acquisition of BBVA USA Bancshares Inc., the parent company of BBVA USA, on June 1.
Knudson most recently served as Houston CEO for BBVA USA, a position for which he was hired in 2020. Prior to that, he was BBVA USA’s Austin CEO. With 13 years in banking, he has been with BBVA for a decade, holding various leadership positions in several locations. Before joining BBVA, Knudson worked in investment banking with an advisory service firm specializing in tax credit programs that attract private investments to incentivize economic growth in distressed communities. In addition, he worked in commercial real estate lending throughout Arizona and Utah.
A native of Fargo, North Dakota, Knudson earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of North Dakota. He also was selected to attend the BBVA Executive Education Program at the University of Texas.

PNC Bank’s Austin leadership team also includes Stephen Jeffrey, wealth management market leader; Christian Brown, corporate banking market leader; Ron Ross, institutional asset management market director; and Juan Garcia, retail market manager.
