Ricky Kidd has been named chief executive officer of the National Bank of Andrews. The promotion was announced by current CEO Russell Shannon, who will remain board chairman and Andrews Bancshares Inc.’s chief executive officer.
Kidd brings more than 40 years of banking and commercial lending experience in Andrews and the surrounding region. He joined the National Bank of Andrews in 1983 and was promoted to assistant vice president of lending in 1985. In 2000, he was named senior vice president of lending. He was named executive vice president and chief lending officer in 2019.
Kidd earned his BBA degree from Angelo State University. He serves on the board of directors for the National Bank of Andrews and Andrews County Appraisal District. He also serves as the treasurer of Andrews Crime Stoppers and treasurer and elder for Andrews Presbyterian Church. Kidd recently served as president and board member of the Andrews Chamber of Commerce, president of the Andrews Business and Trade Association, president and board member of the Permian Regional Hospital, president and board member of the Economic Development Corp., member of the Andrews County Child Protective Services Advisory Board and past officer and member of the Andrews Jaycees.

In addition to Kidd’s promotion, several other key leadership changes have been announced:
- Hunter Morren has been promoted to senior vice president of IT/security.
- Sandra Navarro will serve as senior vice president of operations.
- Laura Irwin is now senior vice president of audit/compliance.
- Barbie Adams has been named vice president of operations.
The National Bank of Andrews has stood among the strongest community banks in the nation since opening its doors for business in 1983. In 1995, the National Bank of Andrews and the First National Bank of Andrews merged, assuming the primary charter dating back to 1945.
