TRID/Real Estate/Commercial Loan Documentation Specialist | Bank of the West | Grapevine, Texas

Job Summary:

Review and prepare requests for consumer real estate early disclosures as well as closing documents.  Review documentation of completed packages and prepare for scanning and tracking. Prepare new and renewal loan documents for commercial and consumer loan requests.  Review all commercial and consumer loan post-close documents for all locations of Bank of the West. Responsible for auditing and reviewing loan documents and files for loan policy adherence, completeness, and compliance. Assisting branch loan personnel with general lending support and questions. Serve as a backup for other areas of loan department regarding inquiries, loan requests, and loan closings. On a periodic basis rotate responsibilities within Loan Operations to cover other job functions as needed.

Primary Job Functions:

  • Maintain and review log of new/renewed loan requests daily and follow up with outstanding items
  • Prepare and review documents for consumer SFR and commercial-purpose SFR Interim real estate loans (TRID) for new and renewal requests (ppdocs)
  • Prepare all non-real estate commercial and consumer (as well as letters of credit) loan documents for new and renewal requests (CompOne)
  • Verify that all requests comply with loan policy and lending limits
  • Collect and review all required HMDA forms
  • Prepare LAR using HMDA forms
  • Review lien searches for proper lien position on document requests
  • Electronic filing of UCCs
  • Monitor and pay escrow amounts; Review escrow analysis statements, scan, and send letters with overages.
  • Prepare, and send release documents on paid loans in a timely manner – 10 days
  • Review denial/withdrawal documents each month and backup for preparation/scanning
  • Review and process supporting documentation for commercial property real estate loans – Backup (KS)
  • Developing a good working relationship with all branch loan personnel and fostering a “team” attitude

Other Job Functions:

  • Assisting customers via telephone with loan
  • Filing, scanning, and assisting within all areas of Loan Operations
  • Clearing Branch exceptions
  • Providing payoffs to title companies/customers
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

Job Requirements: 

  • Knowledge of loan documents, documentation for loans, and/or loan operations
  • Detail oriented and multi-task orientate
  • Computer experience required. Must have Word and Windows
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Positive
  • Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm M-F

General Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others.
