Citizens National Bank at Brownwood—a locally owned community bank—seeks an experienced full-time Credit Analyst.
Essential Functions:
Citizens National Bank at Brownwood is in search of an experienced credit analyst to join the CNB family. Locally owned Community Bank in Central Texas, willing to work alongside experienced lenders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Credit Analyst is responsible for determining the creditworthiness of potential clients based on financial statements, borrowing history and market conditions. The analyst will review and analyze current credit data and financial statements to identify and assess credit risk. This position will assist in spreading financial statements, developing global cash flows, reviewing credit reports, historical payment performance and preparing periodic loan reviews and credit recommendations. The Credit Analyst will provide quality service to all customers.
- Work directly with Loan Officers to request necessary financial information for analysis, such as balance sheets, tax returns and financial statements.
- Determine the strength and/or weakness of the client’s credit to determine the terms of the loan.
- Run reports that show past or current maturities and request necessary information.
- Prepare underwriting/credit memos after collecting all financial information and circulating memos for approvals from appropriate parties.
- Generate/compile various monthly reports, including but not limited to past due loans, maturing loans, collateral exception reports, outstanding appraisal fees, loan type summaries and internal credit administration reporting.
- Generate/compile the board report and various ad hoc reports as requested.
- Be responsible for familiarity with all compliance regulations and policies applicable to this position and ensure compliance with these regulations and policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in financial analysis, banking or related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Experience in a position requiring attention to detail and data analysis.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Working knowledge of collateral instruments (i.e. letter of credit, UCC filings, and personal/corporate guarantees).
Compensation and Benefits:
- Pay is $40,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year.
