Summary: Assists the Chief Financial Officer in auditing, recordkeeping, accounting activities, budget preparation, profit forecasts, operational changes, accounting policies and reports for the Board of Directors. Maintains an accounting system that properly reflects the financial position of the financial institution and provides financial consolidation of departments and branches.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree accounting or related field;
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in accounting and finance at a financial institution;
- Excellent understanding of accounting and financial principles and tax skills;
- Excellent analytical and communication skills;
- Extensive experience in the operation of computers, Microsoft Office Suite and various accounting programs;
- Knowledge of laws and regulations governing financial institutions;
- Regular attendance and punctuality are essential; and

Specific Job Functions:
- Assists Chief Financial Officer with daily operations;
- Capable of performing all functions of the accounting department: wires, investments, accounts payable, asset control, general ledger, cash disbursements, general ledger reconciliations, cash management, tax and audit schedules, and various accounting activities;
- Assist with preparation of board reports, financial statements, cash flow statements, and asset and liability model;
- Coordinates with attorneys, tax accountants, insurance companies and auditing firms engaged by the bank;
- Assists in the development of accounting policies and procedures;
- Performs financial analysis and projections as directed;
- Extended periods of sitting and working on the computer;
- Ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act; and
- Other duties as assigned
