Commercial Loan Officer | First State Bank of Uvalde | Uvalde, Texas

Commercial Loan Officer

Recruiting an experienced Commercial Loan Officer to manage an existing loan portfolio and to be an integral part of our bank’s commercial lending team.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties:

  • Service and maintain a large existing commercial loan portfolio.
  • Actively seek and promote new commercial loans and bank product opportunities within current loan portfolio and with new prospects.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Positively represent the bank’s image/brand to customers, in the industry, professional associations, community/civic organizations, and local business groups.
  • Effectivity management of the current loan portfolio to include obtaining updated financial/covenant information, evaluating the continued credit condition/repayment ability and collateral position.
  • Be familiar with all types of collateral and the related detailed legal requirements to secure commercial loans.
  • Make frequent outside calls on clients and prospects.
  • Be a team player that builds rapport within the bank and with customers. Represent the bank’s 1907 circa legacy and its corporate mission, vision, and core values.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (accounting, finance and/or business) and 10 or more years in commercial lending experience is preferred.
  • Be able to become proficient with bank’s CORE loan and credit underwriting systems.
  • Have strong oral/written communication and interpersonal skills that provide the ability to work well with all levels of the organization.
  • Have strong, accurate credit underwriting with equal financial and cash flow analytical skills.
  • Able to work independently, multitask, adapt, prioritize, and find solutions as well as think and act proactively.
