Jacksonville-based Austin Bank Promotes Droege to Regional President

August 12, 2024

Dan DroegeDan Droege was recently promoted to executive vice president and regional president at Jacksonville-based Austin Bank. The promotion was announced by Jeff Austin III, chairman of the board.

Droege joined the bank in 2017 as a senior vice president and relationship manager in the Longview Oak Forest office and was promoted to Longview market president in 2023. He will now assume duties as regional president of the North region while continuing to work from the Oak Forest location. He has more than 40 years of banking experience, with much of that in leadership positions. Prior to joining Austin Bank, Droege served as president of First Bank & Trust East Texas, president of Regions Bank and executive vice president of Longview National Bank.

Droege is a graduate of Central Missouri State University and has completed the University of Oklahoma’s National Commercial Lending School, as well as the SW Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. Active in his community, he has served as chair of the Great Texas Balloon Race, treasurer of One Hundred Acres of Heritage and on the boards of Northeast Texas Regional Mobility Authority, East Texas Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Longview Museum of Fine Arts and Longview Arboretum and Nature Center.

Established in 1900, Austin Bank operates 36 Texas locations within 26 cities and 14 counties. Austin Bank is locally owned and operated by the Austin family, which is celebrating 114 years of service in the Texas banking industry.
