Independent Bankers Association of Texas Elects 2025–26 Leadership Division Executive Committee

The Leadership Division of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT) elected new executive committee members to its board during the 40th Annual Connecting Leaders Conference, held in June at the Moody Gardens Hotel in Galveston. Click here to view a gallery of photographs from the event. Founded in 1985, the IBAT Leadership Division is dedicated to the development of tomorrow’s leaders in community banking.

The IBAT Leadership Division’s executive committee will be led by Sarah Long, vice president at First National Bank of Ballinger. Other officers named to guide the executive committee include:

  • Chair-Elect Zach Gilbert, vice president of commercial lending at Texas Bank and Trust in Tyler;
  • Secretary/Treasurer Brad Womack, market president and chief experience officer at Kleberg Bank in Kingsville; and
  • Immediate Past Chair Rick Jamieson, chief credit officer and executive vice president at First State Bank of Gainesville.

The IBAT Leadership Division is divided into 13 regions, each of which hosts education and networking events for community bankers in the area throughout the year. Each region has its own president, who also serves as the region’s board member.

Formed in 1974, the Independent Bankers Association of Texas represents Texas community banks. The Austin-based group is the largest state community banking organization in the nation, with membership comprised of more than 4,600 banks and branches in 700 Texas communities.
