First United Bank Welcomes Rogers as Lubbock Market President

September 4, 2020

Monty RogersDimmit-based Plains Bancorp Inc., the holding company for First United Bank, recently hired Monty Rogers to serve as Lubbock market president. He will office at the Lubbock Northwest Banking Center. Rogers comes to First United Bank with 29 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Rogers is a 1993 graduate of Texas Tech University with a BBA degree in finance and is also a graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. A recent transplant from El Paso, Rogers was an active member of the United Way of El Paso, the Downtown Management District of El Paso and served on the board of governors for the El Paso Country Club.

“I’m so grateful for the opportunity to return to Lubbock,” Rogers says. “I’m ready to get involved and eager to serve the Lubbock community as a part of the First United Bank family.”

Established in 1983. First United Bank operates 15 branches in West and Central Texas.
