On March 11, Weatherford-based First Bank Texas announced that Zan Sharp Prince, chair, has recently been appointed to the boards of both the West Texas Rehabilitation Center and the Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT).
The West Texas Rehabilitation Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing life-changing outpatient therapy and support services to individuals with disabilities regardless of their financial circumstances, welcomed Prince as a member of its board earlier this year. In this role, she will help support the organization’s mission and expand awareness of the critical services it provides across Texas.
Prince has also joined the board of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT), the largest state association representing community banks in the nation. As a board member, she will work alongside fellow banking leaders to advocate for community banks, promote sound banking practices and support the financial institutions that serve communities across the state.
“Zan’s leadership, integrity and dedication to service make her an excellent addition to these organizations,” says Jeff Fahler, president and chief operating officer. “Her passion for strengthening both the communities we serve and the community banking industry is evident in everything she does.”
“Both organizations play incredibly important roles in improving lives and strengthening communities throughout Texas, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute,” Prince says.
Established in 1880, First Bank Texas serves customers across the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and West Texas.
