El Paso-based WestStar Bank has promoted Yvonne Dorado to senior vice president/treasurer. As treasurer, she will oversee the bank’s treasury function with responsibilities in interest rate risk management and reporting, investment accounting and monitoring, capital and liquidity planning, management of correspondent bank relationships and assistance with special projects.
Dorado previously served as both assistant controller and controller at WestStar Bank. She has 17 years of accounting experience, with 12 of those years in banking. Before joining WestStar, she was a senior auditor for the public accounting firm KPMG.
Dorado holds a BBA degree in accounting from the University of Texas–El Paso. She serves as a board member for the Boys and Girls Club of El Paso.
Established in 1990, WestStar Bank serves the El Paso, Las Cruces (New Mexico) and Northern Mexico area—collectively known as the Borderplex region.
