Dallas-based Vista Bank has hired Paul Dannevik to serve as Lubbock market president, which includes the company’s operations center and three banking centers. With more than 17 years of banking experience, his career has focused on commercial, industrial, mortgage and real estate banking. Most recently, Dannevik served as senior vice president/regional manager for Lubbock National Bank.
Dannivik holds a BBA degree in finance from Texas Tech University. He is also a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado. Active in his community, Dannevik serves on the boards of the Ronald McDonald House of the South Plains, Make-a-Wish Foundation and Lubbock Economic Housing Authority, as well as the Covenant Foundation finance committee.
“Having watched the trajectory of Vista Bank over the past decade, from where they were then to what the team has built today—a $2 billion enterprise with a new location in Palm Beach, Florida—was certainly compelling,” Dannevik told the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.
Brian Pierce, former Lubbock market president, has been named executive vice president of corporate lending, with a focus on corporate expansion.
“I am incredibly thankful for the entire Pierce family and truly appreciate Brian’s leadership over the years,” CEO John D. Steinmetz told the Avalanche-Journal. “I congratulate Brian on his new role and look forward to working with him as we further expand the Vista footprint. Respected by community leaders and his fellow bankers across the region, I am confident Paul will play an integral role as we continue investing in West Texas and supporting Lubbock’s strong growth trajectory.”
Established in 1912, Vista Bank operates 17 branches in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and West Texas, as well as one branch in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
