Dallas Capital Bank Taps Powell as Executive Vice President/Private Banking

April 14, 2021

Scott PowellDallas Capital Bank recently announced the addition of Scott Powell as executive vice president/private banking. He will lead the private banking group in providing North Texas professionals, business owners, executives, affluent individuals and families with responsive, highly tailored banking services and solutions. Powell will report directly to Jason Matthews, chief banking officer.

Powell joins Dallas Capital Bank from Bank of Texas, where he most recently served as market executive/private wealth, responsible for building the private banking team in Collin County. Prior to joining Bank of Texas, he served in various senior roles at Northern Trust and BBVA Compass in the Dallas market.

Powell holds a BS degree in organizational management from John Brown University and an MBA degree in finance from the University of Arkansas. He also attended the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking. He is a certified estate and trust planning consultant and accredited asset management specialist. He is also a licensed private aircraft pilot.
