Conger Named Dallas President of Kansas-based CrossFirst Bank

Clayton CongerLeawood, Kansas-based CrossFirst Bank has promoted Clayton Conger to bank president/Dallas. With more than 20 years of banking experience in the Texas region, Clayton has expertise in commercial and real estate lending.

Conger joined CrossFirst Bank in 2017 and helped open its Dallas location. Prior to his recent promotion, he was managing director of real estate banking. Earlier in his career, he served as vice president at KeyBank Real Estate Capital in Dallas and, before that, was a vice president at JPMorgan Chase in Dallas. Conger earned a BA degree in economics from the University of Texas–Austin.

“Clayton is an exceptional leader with a proven record of building empowered teams that provide extraordinary service to their clients,” says David Felan, regional president/Texas. “Clayton’s leadership skills, dedication to the Dallas community and unique depth of banking knowledge make him the ideal candidate to spearhead the bank’s continued growth and expansion in Texas.”

CrossFirst Bank recently announced a partnership with Champaign, Illinois-based Busey Bank, creating a commercial bank that serves clients from 77 locations across 10 states with combined total assets of approximately $20 billion, $17 billion in total deposits, $15 billion in total loans and $14 billion in wealth assets.

Established in 2007, CrossFirst Bank operates 17 offices in Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
