Charter Bank in Corpus Christi Announces Promotions in January

January 15, 2025

On January 7, the board of directors of Corpus Christi-based Charter Bank announced several promotions:

  • Janessa Castillo was promoted to bank officer by the board of directors. Her new responsibilities will be in the lending department. She began her career at the bank in 2010.
  • Jeremy Cortez has been promoted to bank officer and will oversee the bank’s loan operations functions. He has been with the bank since 2013.
  • Michelle Zamora was promoted to assistant vice president. She started her career at Charter Bank as a teller in 2016 and is now responsible for operations.
  • Raj Bhakta has been promoted to assistant IT officer. He has been with the bank since 2021.

Established in 1962, Charter Bank has three banking offices in Corpus Christi and one in Rockport.
