Chris Bubela has been promoted to chief banking officer at Round Rock-based R Bank, transitioning from his previous role as chief lending officer. As reported previously in Bankers Digest, Michael Ramirez has been hired to succeed Bubela as chief lending officer and executive vice president. Bubela, who also serves as executive vice president, has been instrumental in driving the bank’s lending operations and growth for the past 15 years.
“Over the years, I have seen firsthand the positive impact we have on our customers’ lives and businesses,” Bubela notes. “Taking on the role of chief banking officer allows me to focus on enhancing our overall banking operations, ensuring we continue to provide our customers with innovative solutions tailored to meet their unique needs and financial goals.”
“Chris’ promotion demonstrates how valuable he has been to the success of R Bank and how his leadership will be instrumental in our continued success,” says Todd Engemoen, president and CEO.
Bubela earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston.
Established in 2009, R Bank operates 10 branches in Central Texas, South Texas and Fort Worth.
