Bank of Texas Hires Self as Commercial Banking Relationship Manager in Fort Worth

August 29, 2024

David SelfFort Worth-based Bank of Texas has hired David Self to serve as senior vice president/relationship manager for commercial banking. He will be part of a team serving small- to mid-size businesses with annual sales of $5 million to $75 million.

Self joins Bank of Texas with 20 years of experience in the Fort Worth commercial banking industry, working at financial institutions such as Wells Fargo, Frost Bank and, most recently, Origin Bank.

Self earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University. He enjoys supporting the community through volunteering with Junior Achievement, the Tarrant Area Food Bank and the Community Enrichment Center North Richland Hills.

“David’s breadth of experience in the commercial banking market will bring additional strength to an already growing team,” says Aaron Capps, North Texas commercial banking director. “He has an expansive knowledge of the financial needs of our local business community and will be an asset to help the continued growth of our business. Although Fort Worth is the 12th largest city in the country, most relationships are community-based and David will bring that local bank relationship to current and new clients.”

“The team is focused on having a direct impact on the community, and I look forward to bringing ideas on how to grow our business in the Fort Worth market,” Self says.

Established in 1984, Bank of Texas is a banking division of BOK Financial Corp. headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
