Arkansas-based Bank OZK Continues Texas Expansion in Houston, Austin and Colleyville

August 28, 2025

Little Rock, Arkansas-based Bank OZK is ramping up its presence in Texas, recently unveiling new branch locations across major metro areas. According to the Arkansas Business Journal, Bank OZK is accelerating its footprint in Texas and Georgia, announcing plans for new branch openings in both states as part of its broader growth strategy.

Earlier this year, the bank reported the opening of nine new branches in Texas, concentrated in major population centers including Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, Houston and Plano. These expansions also introduce Bank OZK to new markets within the state. In the Houston region, it opened its 24th Texas branch earlier this year. In June, the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting and networking event for Bank OZK’s newest Austin branch, located at 3520 W. Slaughter Ln.

Bank OZK also recently celebrated the grand opening of its Colleyville branch near Fort Worth, posting to social media, “We keep growing in Texas! Our Colleyville branch is now open and we’re excited to bring an even greater banking experience to your community.” Social media updates further confirmed that the bank has opened its seventh branch in the Houston area, with more locations forthcoming.

Established in 1981, Bank OZK operates nearly 250 branches in Arkansas, Texas, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and Tennessee.
