Cassandra Wiggins has joined the Austin office of Corpus Christi-based American Bank as director of treasury management support. Making the announcement was John Wessman, executive vice president/consumer banking and marketing. In her new position, Wiggins will manage the bank’s treasury management support team.
Wiggins joins American Bank with more than 30 years of financial services experience, with a concentration in bank operations and treasury management. She began her banking career with Frost Bank and Texas Capital Bank, and previously held the position of senior vice president and manager of treasury management services with First State Bank Central Texas, now BancorpSouth Bank. Since 1996, she has been a certified cash manager and certified treasury professional.
Wiggins attended Lamar University and has been heavily involved in the Austin community. She currently holds various positions and memberships with Austin Community College, Rodeo Austin, Austin Museum of Art, Independent Cattlemen Association, Jourdan-Bauchman Pioneer Farms, Austin Association for Financial Professionals and Daughters of the American Revolution and Republic of Texas.
Established in 1970, American Bank has assets totaling $1.9 billion as of March 31 and 13 locations in the Texas communities of Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Corpus Christi, Port Aransas, Rockport, Goliad and Victoria.
