March 13, 2024

Jon MorganCorpus Christi-based American Bank announced that Jon Morgan has joined its Austin team as senior vice president of commercial banking. He will office at the bank’s Austin-Westlake location. Making the announcement was John Greenwood, Austin market president.

Morgan joins American Bank after spending the past 28 years serving the banking needs of clients throughout the greater Austin area. Earlier in his career, Morgan spent nearly 10 years working for various financial institutions in the Dallas area.

“Jon is a dynamic leader with significant experience in commercial banking and business development, which will enhance our ability to serve the Austin community,” Greenwood notes.

Morgan holds an economics degree from Texas A&M University–College Station. He also completed the Commercial Lending School at the SW Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University.
