El Paso-based WestStar has named Yvonne Dorado senior vice president and chief accounting officer as part of an internal leadership realignment within the accounting, tax and treasury division. She previously served as senior vice president and treasurer. In her new role, she oversees the bank’s accounting and financial reporting functions in addition to supporting the chief financial officer in all accounting operations, including investment and liquidity management, budgeting and forecasting, asset-liability management and technical accounting expertise to support strategic initiatives.
Dorado brings 21 years of experience in the financial services industry. She has spent the past 16 years with WestStar, during which she has held key leadership roles, including senior vice president, treasurer and controller.
Dorado earned a BBA degree in accounting from the University of Texas–El Paso. She is also a graduate of Leadership El Paso and Leadership Texas. Dorado serves as a member of the Financial Managers Society and on its advisory council. She is a former board member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of El Paso and remains committed to supporting community-focused initiatives.
