FirstBank Southwest Promotes Mathias to Amarillo Market President

October 13, 2022

“MattAmarillo-based FirstBank Southwest recently announced the promotion of Matt Mathias to Amarillo market president. He has been with the bank since 2018 and in the financial services industry for more than 22 years. Prior to this promotion, Mathias served as senior vice president of the bank’s commercial lending team at its downtown banking center in the FirstBank Southwest Tower. He specializes in commercial real estate and residential construction loans.

Mathias earned his BBA degree from West Texas A&M University. Active in his community, he serves on the board of the Texas Panhandle Regional Development Corp., executive board of the Center City of Amarillo and executive board of North Heights Linen Service, which provides laundry services to Texas Panhandle hospitals.

“We are excited to promote Matt into this important role,” says Will Miller, president of commercial and corporate banking. “He understands the importance of relationships and is a strong community leader.”

Established in 1907, FirstBank Southwest serves families and businesses in the Texas Panhandle, Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and Austin and San Antonio metro markets.
