American National Bank & Trust Taps Hearn Owens, Bryson and Schreiber Hill for Trust and Investment Services Group

May 16, 2021

Wichita Falls-based American National Bank & Trust recently announced the addition of three officers to the trust and investment services group: Beth Hearn Owens, Jennifer Bryson and Melissa Schreiber Hill. The trust and investment services group serves clients in more than 30 states and has more than $1.5 billion in assets under management.

Beth Hearn Owens is a licensed attorney with a law degree from South Texas College of Law and a master’s in taxation from the University of Houston. After practicing law for seven years, she transitioned to a trust officer role, specializing in court-created trusts. Soon, she was promoted to a national position overseeing settlement trusts and guardianships. Owens will be based in the Houston and Fort Bend offices of American National Bank & Trust.

Jennifer Bryson leveraged her 30 years of experience in trusts, estates, foundations and other wealth services to develop a specialized division for disability and court-created trusts within a national trust department. She will work from the Houston and Fort Bend offices.

For 20 years, Melissa Schreiber Hill has assisted families and individuals with their wealth and estate planning goals. Certified as a trust financial advisor in 2011, she especially enjoys establishing and administering special needs trusts and court-created trusts. She has held numerous civic and board positions throughout her career. Schreiber Hill will be based in the bank’s Denton office and will work with team members and clients in the Fort Worth, Flower Mound and Dallas branches.

“These appointments place American National in the best position to expedite and optimize our move into an expanded Texas market,” says Dwight Berry, president and CEO. “The opportunity arose after a terrific 2020 for our trust and investment services group, thanks to our comprehensive services and reputation for building strong customer relationships. Jennifer, Melissa, and Beth share that vision of putting the client first in everything we do.

“This is an exciting announcement for American National Bank & Trust as we establish a physical presence in the Houston area and expand our presence across the region,” says Jeffrey Schultz, executive vice president and chief investment officer. “Beth, Jennifer and Melissa are uniquely qualified to expand and deliver our trust and investment services for Texas and the surrounding states.”

Established in 1976, American National Bank & Trust operates branches in Wichita Falls, Fort Worth, Archer City, Chillicothe, Denton, Iowa Park, Quanah, and Flower Mound.
