Texas National Bank Welcomes Riddel as Senior Vice President of Deposit Relationships

November 13, 2025

Kimmy RiddelMike Fernandez, president and CEO of Sweetwater-based Texas National Bank, announced that Kimmy Riddel has joined the bank as senior vice president of deposit relationships. She will be responsible for the strategic direction, execution and profitability of the bank’s retail and commercial deposit departments.

Riddel began her community banking career working as a part-time teller in high school and college. After college, she spent three years as a guest relations hostess at the Walt Disney Co., to which she credits her passion for customer service. She then returned to Texas and to banking, and now has a combined 25 years in the industry. Throughout her banking career, Riddel has spent most of her time supporting, coaching and developing personal bankers and front-line staff. In true community banker fashion, she has worn multiple hats at the various banks for which she has previously worked. Her experiences include leading core and system conversions, executing customer communication plans, modernizing processes and policies, providing technical and compliance support on complex customer situations and fostering an upbeat and positive work environment at each of her previous banks.

Riddel graduated cum laude from Texas Tech University, earning a BS degree in human development and family studies. She currently serves as an advisory director for a community bank and is an active member in her community, serving on various boards and committees, including the KEY advisory board, the Lubbock ISD business advisory council and the Children’s Advocacy Center.

“We are thrilled to bring Kimmy on at Texas National Bank,” Fernandez says. “She has extensive experience in compliance, staff development, project management and customer service, along with so many other talents. Her strategic thinking competencies—such as problem solving, foresight and anticipation, and analytical and creative thinking—will serve us well as we continue to serve our existing communities and look for opportunities for growth.”

Established in 1995, Texas National Bank operates full-service locations in Sweetwater and Tuscola, as well as Bankers Lender, the first and only direct digital bank offered exclusively to professionals employed in the banking industry. As of September 30, the bank reports total assets of $140 million.
