Round Rock-based R Bank has hired Buster Williams to serve as senior vice president/director of finance. He will lead the finance team and oversee financial strategy, budgeting and long-term planning.

Prior to joining R Bank, Williams spent more than a decade in investment banking with Stephens Inc. in Dallas, advising Texas community banks and regional banks on mergers, acquisitions and capital markets transactions. He began his career at Frost Bank in Houston as an associate relationship manager within the bank’s commercial and industrial group. Williams holds a BBA degree in finance from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University.

Established in 2009, R Bank has nine branches in Central Texas, the Coastal Bend and Fort Worth.
