In October, the Tarrant County Bankers Association (TCBA) announced the establishment of an endowed scholarship for the new Certificate in Banking program at the University of Texas–Arlington (UTA). UTA’s Certificate in Banking Program is designed to equip students with the knowledge, tools and hands-on experience needed to thrive in the banking sector. The endowed scholarship provides students from diverse backgrounds with greater access to specialized training, helping to shape the next generation of banking professionals.
“The banking program is strategically important to the college and I am confident that we have the right people and leadership in place to ensure its success,” Harry Dombroski, dean of the College of Business at the University of Texas–Arlington, said during a presentation announcing the scholarship, which was reported by Chloe Moore, a reporter with the university. “I see no reason why this program cannot become one of the premier banking programs in the United States, and support [from the Tarrant County Bankers Association] is instrumental in helping make that vision a reality.”
Over the years, the Tarrant County Bankers Association has been a valued partner to the university, consistently supporting initiatives that align with the school’s mission to provide accessible, high-quality education.
“[TCBA’s] increased commitment to this new program underscores their visionary leadership in building a strong pipeline of skilled professionals for the banking industry,” Moore notes.
