Texas Regional Bank’s Central Texas Flood Relief Fund Supports Ongoing Recovery in Kerr County

July 16, 2026

A year after devastating floods impacted communities across Kerr County and the Texas Hill Country, Harlingen-based Texas Regional Bank has donated the proceeds of its Central Texas Flood Relief Fund (CTFRF) to the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country’s Kerr County Flood Relief Fund and Texas Lions Camp. Following the July 2025 floods, Texas Regional Bank established the CTFRF and matched donations made by customers, employees and community members. During presentations held on June 25, 2026, representatives from the bank presented the proceeds while recognizing both organizations for their continued service to the region.

Since 1982, the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country has connected charitable giving with local needs across the region. Following the July 2025 floods, the foundation quickly established the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund, helping mobilize resources and aid to affected families, businesses and communities throughout Kerr County.

Texas Lions Camp has provided camp experiences at no cost for Texas children with physical disabilities, visual or hearing impairments, diabetes, cancer, Down syndrome and other special medical needs for generations. Following the floods, the organization also stepped forward to support recovery efforts while continuing its longstanding mission of serving children and families throughout Kerrville and the surrounding region.

“This fund gave our customers, employees and community members an opportunity to continue supporting Kerr County long after the initial response,” says James Ehrlich, Texas Regional Bank’s Kerrville market president. “These organizations continue making a meaningful difference every day for the families and communities they serve, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to support their work.”

“Recovery doesn’t end when the immediate emergency passes,” notes Lance Spruiell, Central Texas region president. “Organizations like the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country and Texas Lions Camp continue serving their communities every day.”

The CTFRF matched contributions from customers, employees, community members and Texas Regional Bank, helping extend support to organizations continuing the work of recovery across Kerr County and the Texas Hill Country. Recovery continues for many families and communities across the Texas Hill Country.

Established in 2010, Texas Regional Bank has more than 35 locations across the Rio Grande Valley, Texas Hill Country, Houston and the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
