Snyder Joins VeraBank’s Mortgage and Commercial Banking Team in Austin

Doug SnyderHenderson-based VeraBank recently announced the addition of Doug Snyder to its Austin team, where he will serve as senior vice president/senior mortgage and commercial banker. A resident of Austin for 50-plus years, he brings more than 35 years of experience in the lending industry to his new role.

Before joining VeraBank, Snyder served as a residential lending production manager for Amegy Bank in Austin since 2016. While at Amegy, he was bestowed the Five-Star Professional Award for Mortgage Originators in Austin numerous times, placing him in the top 2 percent of more than 8,400 mortgage professionals in Central Texas. Before that, Snyder was a senior mortgage advisor and manager at Benchmark Bank in Austin. Earlier in his career, he worked at Colonial Bank and Chase Home Finance.

Snyder holds his BBA degree from the University of Texas–Austin.

“Doug has consistently been a high performer who’s built strong relationships with clients, bankers, builders and realtors,” notes Brad Tidwell, CEO. “His understanding of the local real estate market will be invaluable to our team as we continue to strengthen our presence in Austin.”
