Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC).

February 14–20, 2021

Mergers and Acquisitions

The OCC reports that The First National Bank of Weatherford, based in Weatherford, has completed its acquisition of First National Bank Baird, based in Baird.

The TDB reports that Happy State Bank, based in Happy, has completed its acquisition of Muleshoe Bancshares Inc. and First Bank of Muleshoe, based in Muleshoe.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Guaranty Bank & Trust National Association, based in Mt. Pleasant, to relocate a branch from 5944 Luther Lane, Ste. 100, in Dallas to 5910 N. Central Expwy., Ste. 150, in Dallas.

The OCC reports that Zions Bancorporation National Association, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, has applied to relocate a branch from 1100 Louisiana in Houston to 815 Walker in Houston.

February 7–13, 2021

Mergers and Acquisitions

The OCC reports that Commercial Bank of Texas National Association, based in Nacogdoches, has applied to acquire a branch from Texas Bank and Trust Co., based in Longview. The branch is located at 102 W. Columbia in San Augustine.

The OCC reports that PNC Bank National Association, based in Wilmington, Delaware, has established a branch at 3948 Westheimer Rd. in Houston.

The TDB reports that State Bank of DeKalb, based in De Kalb, has applied to establish a branch at 319 Hoskins Blvd. in New Boston.

The TDB reports that Ennis State Bank, based in Ennis, has applied to establish a branch at 6970 FM 741 in Forney.

January 31–February 6, 2021

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Wells Fargo Bank National Association, based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to establish a branch at 24531 IH10 W in San Antonio.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by JPMorgan Chase Bank National Association, based in Columbus, Ohio, to establish a branch at the northwest corner of Town Creek Dr. and E. Riverside Dr. in Austin.

The OCC reports that PNC Bank National Association, based in Wilmington, Delaware, has applied to establish the following branches: 3630 W. University Dr. in McKinney; and 4001 W. Matlock Rd. in Arlington.

The OCC reports that Zions Bancorporation National Association, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, has relocated a branch from 3014 Monticello in Dallas to 3100 Monticello in Dallas.

The OCC reports that The City National Bank of Sulphur Springs, based in Sulphur Springs, has acquired The Morris County National Bank of Naples, based in Naples.

The OCC reports that PNC Bank National Association, based in Wilmington, Delaware, has established the following branches: 2601 N. Tarrant Pkwy. in Fort Worth; and 8411 Preston Rd., Ste. 138, in Dallas.

The OCC reports that Texas Republic Bank National Association, based in Frisco, has applied to establish a branch at 1212 S. Preston Rd.,  Ste. 100, in Celina.

The TDB reports that Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, has established a branch at 3704 W. Camp Wisdom Rd., Ste. 130, in Dallas.

The TDB reports that State Bank, based in De Kalb, has applied to establish a branch at 319 Hoskins Blvd. in New Boston.

January 17–23, 2021

The OCC and the FRBD report that VeraBank National Association, based in Henderson, has applied to acquire Panola National Bank, based in Panola.

The TDB reports that Happy State Bank, based in Happy, has applied to acquire First National Bank of Tahoka, based in Tahoka.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by JPMorgan Chase Bank National Association, based in Columbus, Ohio, to establish a branch at the southeast corner of E. Basse Rd. and Nacogdoches Rd. in San Antonio.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Wells Fargo Bank National Association, based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to establish a branch at 1100 S. Preston Rd. in Prosper.

The OCC reports that Bank of Brenham National Association, based in Brenham, has applied to establish a branch (Bank of Chappell Hill) at 9000 Hwy. 290 E in Chappell Hill.

The OCC reports that Newfirst National Bank, based in El Campo, has applied to relocate a branch from 50 Sugar Creek Center Blvd., Ste. 100, in Sugar Land, to 16554 Creekbend Dr., Ste. 150, in Sugar Land.

The OCC reports that Zions Bancorporation National Association, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, has applied to relocate a branch from 10701 W. Bellfort in Houston to 11213 W. Airport Blvd. in Stafford.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by First State Bank of Texas, based in Orange, to establish a branch at 3475 Phelan Blvd. in Beaumont.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Texas Republic Bank National Association, based in Frisco, to establish a branch at the intersection of Miller Rd. and Hwy. 121 in Melissa.
