Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. January 1–7, 2023

Mergers and Acquisitions

The TDB reports that Chappell Hill Bank, based in Chappell Hill, has completed its merger with GOBI Acquisition Corp., based in Irving.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by First Financial Bank NA, based in Abilene, to relocate a branch from 3400 Hwy. 21 E in Bryan to 1622 N. Earl Rudder Fwy. in Bryan.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Frontier Bank of Texas, based in Elgin, to establish a branch at 813 N. Main St. in Taylor.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by The First National Bank of Quitaque, based in Quitaque, to establish a branch at 501 Main St. in Silverton.

The TDB reports that Citizens State Bank, based in Anton, has established a branch at 4718 S. Loop 289, Ste. 200, in Lubbock.

The TDB reports that Frontier Bank of Texas, based in Elgin, has applied to establish a branch at 813 N. Main St. in Taylor.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, to establish a branch at 5510 S. IH 35 in Austin.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Chappell Hill Bank, based in Chappell Hill, to merge with GOBI Acquisition Corp., based in Irving.

The OCC reports that JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, based in Columbus, Ohio, has established a branch at 38987 Buckeye Trail in Magnolia.

The OCC reports that The First National Bank of Sonora, based in Sonora, has established a branch at 1349 State Hwy. 46 S in New Braunfels.

The TDB reports that Chappell Hill Bank, based in Chappell Hill, has applied to establish a branch at 1400 Blalock Rd. in Houston.

The TDB reports that Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, has established a branch at 3092 Horizon in Rockwall.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by ValueBank Texas, based in Corpus Christi, to relocate its home office from 3649 Leopard St. in Corpus Christi to 5262 S. Staples St., Ste. 101, in Corpus Christi.

The OCC reports that Great Plains National Bank, based in Elk City, Oklahoma, has completed its acquisition of Providence Bank of Texas SSB, based in Southlake.

The TDB reports that Prosperity Bank, based in El Campo, has applied to acquire Lone Star State Bank of West Texas, in Lubbock.

The FRBD reports that it has approved an application by Victory Financial Corp., based in Lubbock, to become a bank holding company by acquiring Security State Bank, based in Winters

Home Offices

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by ValueBank Texas, based in Corpus Christi, to relocate its home office from 3649 Leopard St. in Corpus Christi to 5262 S. Staples St., Ste. 101, in Corpus Christi.

Branches

The OCC reports that Texas National Bank, based in Mercedes, has established the following branches: 1409 E. Ridge Rd. in McAllen; and 1414 FM 802 (Ruben Torres) in Brownsville.

The OCC reports that The City National Bank of Sulphur Springs, based in Sulphur Springs, has relocated a branch from 700 E. Lennon Dr. in Emory to 711 E. Lennon Dr. in Emory.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Texas Regional Bank, based in Harlingen, to establish a branch at 10635 Louetta Rd. in Houston.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Comerica Bank, based in Dallas, to establish a branch at 4145 S. Cooper St. in Arlington.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Alliance Bank Central Texas, based in Woodway, to establish a branch at 3911 Williams Dr. in Georgetown.

The TDB reports that Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, has applied to establish a branch at 5510 S. IH 35 in Austin.

The OCC reports that JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, based in Columbus, Ohio, has applied to establish a branch at the northeast corner of Ronald Reagan Blvd. and Kauffman Loop in Leander.

The OCC reports that MidFirst Bank, based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, has established a branch at 11750 Katy Fwy., Ste. 800, in Houston.

The OCC reports that The City National Bank of Colorado City, based in Colorado City, has applied to establish a branch at 2909 Sherwood Way in San Angelo.

The TDB reports that Texas Regional Bank, based in Harlingen, has applied to establish a branch at 10635 Louetta Rd. in Houston.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, to establish a branch at 1506 S. Friendswood Dr. in Friendswood. The agency also reports that Frost Bank has applied to establish a branch at 5510 S. Interstate Hwy. 35 in Austin.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Wallis Bank, based in Wallis, to establish a branch at the intersection of University Blvd. and U.S. 59 Frontage Rd. in Sugar Land.

The TDB reports that Alliance Bank Central Texas, based in Woodway, has applied to establish a branch at 3911 Williams Dr. in Georgetown.
