Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC).

March 10–16, 2024

Mergers and Acquisitions

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Prosperity Bank, based in El Campo, to acquire Lone Star State Bank of West Texas, based in Lubbock.

Conversions

The TDB reports that Third Coast Bank, based in Humble, has converted from a state savings bank (as Third Coast Bank SSB) to a Texas banking association.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by First National Bank and Trust Co. of Weatherford, based in Weatherford, to establish a branch at 100 Willow Bend Dr. in Willow Park.

The TDB reports that Normangee State Bank, based in Normangee, has established a branch at 401 N. May St. in Madisonville.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by NBT Financial Bank, based in Fort Worth, to establish a branch at 200 Shops Blvd. in Willow Park.

March 3–9, 2024

Branches

The OCC reports that Woodforest National Bank, based in The Woodlands, has established a branch in the HEB at 16000 Woodland Hills Dr. in Humble.

The OCC reports that it has approved applications by JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, based in Columbus, Ohio, to establish the following branches: at the southwest corner of State Hwy. 46 W and Bulverde Crossing in Spring Branch and at the northwest corner of of FM 407 and I 35 W in Argyle.

The OCC reports that First American Trust FSB, based in Santa Ana, California, has relocated a branch from 25700 I-45 N, Ste. 410, in Spring to 1221 S. Mopac Expwy., Ste. 150, in Austin.

The TDB reports that The First State Bank, based in Louise, has established a branch at 200 Century Square Blvd. in Sugar Land.

The TDB reports that Independent Bank, based in McKinney, has established a branch at 2722 W. Bitters Rd., Ste. 126/128, in San Antonio.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Texas Capital Bank, based in Dallas, to establish a branch at 1538 E. Southlake Blvd. in Southlake.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by The First National Bank of Sonora, based in Sonora, to establish a branch at 205 Exchange Blvd. in Hutto.

The OCC reports that National Bank & Trust, based in La Grange, has applied to establish a branch at 4401 S. Staples St. in Corpus Christi.

The TDB reports that NBT Financial Bank, based in Fort Worth, has applied to establish a branch at 200 Shops Blvd. in Willow Park.

February 18–24, 2024

The OCC reports that Great Plains National Bank, based in Elk City, Oklahoma, has applied to establish a branch at 2620 N. Travis, Ste. 200, in Sherman.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Veritex Community Bank, based in Dallas, to establish a branch at 4660 Sweetwater Blvd. in Sugar Land.

The TDB reports that Texas Capital Bank, based in Dallas, has applied to establish a branch at 1538 E. Southlake Blvd. in Southlake.

February 11–17, 2024

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by FundBank NA, based in Austin, to establish a bank charter.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Woodforest National Bank, based in The Woodlands, to establish a branch at 1620 W. Church St. in Livingston.

The OCC reports that Llano National Bank, based in Llano, has applied to establish a branch at 901 Corazon Dr. in Marble Falls.

The OCC reports that PNC Bank NA, based in Wilmington, Delaware, has applied to relocate a branch from 700 San Bernardo Ave. in Laredo to 802 Hidalgo St. in Laredo.

The OCC reports that Bank of America NA, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, has applied to relocate a branch from 2015 Coit Rd. in Plano to 2065 Preston Rd. in Plano.

The TDB reports that Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, has established a branch at 1912 Parker Rd., Ste. 100, in Carrollton.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by CapTex Bank, based in Fort Worth, to establish a branch in the southeast quadrant of Texas Hwy. 121 and Milrany Ln. in Melissa.

The TDB reports that American Bank of Commerce, based in Wolfforth, has applied to establish a branch at 11000 Slide Rd. in Lubbock.

The TDB reports that Fort Davis State Bank, based in Fort Davis, has changed its name to Maverick Bank.
