PlainsCapital Bank Welcomes Bielss as Senior Vice President in Westlake

January 14, 2022

Chris BielssDallas-based PlainsCapital Bank recently announced that Chris Bielss has joined its Austin commercial lending group as senior vice president at 2705 Bee Caves Rd. in Westlake.

“[Bielss’] deep-rooted relationships with local entrepreneurs and strong commercial banking background make him an excellent fit to serve PlainsCapital’s clients in Austin and across Texas,” says Sean Mills, Westlake branch president.

Bielss has more than 10 years of banking experience. Most recently, he served nearly seven years as vice president at Independent Bank. Prior to that, he served as assistant vice president at Southside Bank. Bielss received a BBA degree from the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University.

“I feel at home with PlainsCapital’s Westlake banking group in Austin,” Bielss says. “Their business strategies and values align with my own and I look forward to supporting our clients’ financial goals.”

Established in 1955, PlainsCapital Bank operates 59 Texas branches and employs approximately 1,100 associates.
