Larry Allen, area chairman of Lubbock-based Peoples Bank, and Kelly Marsh, regional manager and senior vice president for Cornerstone Home Lending, have jointly announced a promotion of Sonya Garcia to branch manager and senior mortgage loan originator for Peoples Bank Home Loan Center, a division of Cornerstone Home Lending. Garcia has more than 16 years of mortgage experience. She is active with the West Texas Homebuilders Association, Junior League of Lubbock, Girl Scouts, High Plains Wine and Food Foundation and the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce.
In addition, Allen announced the hiring of Will Adams to serve as vice president and commercial lender at the bank’s 82nd Street location in Lubbock. He has been in banking for 18 years, working in the Fort Worth area and Lubbock. Adams is a graduate of the University of North Texas and the Texas Tech School of Banking. He was recently appointed to the Lubbock Public Transit advisory board and also serves on the Lubbock Cattle Baron’s Ball planning committee.

The Peoples Bank leadership team, branch presidents and support staff remain in place. Allen, former chairman and CEO of Peoples Bank, has joined the boards of Cornerstone Capital Bancorp and Cornerstone Capital Bank and now serves as area chairman for Peoples Bank.
