Jefferson Bank Appoints SoftBank Group’s Christy to Board of Directors

Emily Willeford ChristyEmily Willeford Christy, partner/U.S. government affairs at SoftBank Group International, has been appointed to the board of directors of San Antonio-based Jefferson Bank. At SoftBank Group, she is responsible for government affairs engagement at the local, state and federal level.

Before joining SoftBank, she served as executive director/government relations at USAA. Christy worked at USAA for eight years on issues pertaining to public policy, political affairs and grassroots activation. Her prior government and political experience includes an array of senior positions spanning the Department of Commerce, Federal Communications Commission and the White House.

Christy received her MBA degree from Georgetown University and a BA degree from Davidson College. She has been involved in local organizations in San Antonio, including board service to St. Luke’s Episcopal School, Girls Inc., the Junior League and HeartGift.

Headquartered in San Antonio, Jefferson Bank serves Central and South Texas.
