Ken Moore, president and CEO of Anahuac National Bank, recently announced the promotion of James Naivar to assistant cashier. As an employee of Barbers Hill Bank for the past seven years, Naivar has served in many roles and in 2017 was promoted to administrative assistant and new accounts department supervisor. Barbers Hill Bank is part of the Anahuac National Bank family of community banks located throughout Chambers and Liberty counties.
Naivar graduated with a BS degree in business from the University of Phoenix. He has also completed several bank training programs, including the Texas Bankers Association Management Development Program. Naivar lives in Mont Belvieu and is professionally active in Chambers County, including serving as a board member of the Anahuac Area Chamber of Commerce.
“James is truly an asset to Barbers Hill Bank and Anahuac National Bank,” Moore says. “He demonstrates his commitment to his customers, his coworkers and his community daily. We are thankful to have his talent and enthusiasm on our team.”
Established by local farmers, ranchers and businessmen in 1976, Anahuac National Bank remains the only national bank in Chambers County. It is also the only locally owned and independently operated bank in the county. Each of the bank’s locations—Anahuac National Bank, Barbers Hill Bank, East Chambers County Bank and Hardin Bank—operate as an independent bank of their respective community. Anahuac National Bank has more than $240 million in total assets.
