Hampton Joins PlainsCapital Bank as Senior Commercial Loan Officer in Austin

April 30, 2025

Jason HamptonDallas-based PlainsCapital Bank has hired Jason Hampton to join its Austin lending team as senior vice president/senior commercial loan officer. He will be based at the bank’s Westlake location at 2705 Bee Caves Rd., Ste. 120.

Hampton has more than 20 years of experience in financial services, with a strong background in commercial banking. Most recently, he served as president of the Lakeway banking center for Prosperity Bank. He was responsible for driving loan production in commercial real estate, commercial and industrial, and homebuilding loans. He also previously served as executive officer at SouthStar Bank and has held commercial banking roles at Green Bank, Independent Bank Group and BBVA Compass. Hampton earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas–Austin.

“Jason brings a wealth of knowledge in commercial banking and a strong understanding of the Austin market,” says Paul Holubec, chair of the Austin region. “His expertise will be a valuable resource for our clients and we’re excited to see the impact he makes.”

Established in 1955, PlainsCapital Bank operates 55 Texas branches.
