First State Bank Abilene Welcomes Donathan, Curry and Duncan

July 13, 2022

First State Bank Abilene recently added new officers to the senior management team. The announcement was made by Stan Pinkham, CEO.

Lance Donathan has joined the bank as president and a member of the board of directors. He is a veteran West Texas banker, having served most recently as president of American Momentum Bank in Seminole. He previously served as president of the Brownwood, Early and Eastland markets for Farmers & Merchants Bank. Donathan’s experience includes commercial mortgages, commercial lending, interim construction, risk management, banking, and credit analysis. He earned his BS degree in agricultural communications from Texas Tech University.

Sue Curry has joined First State Bank as vice president and cashier. She comes to the job from PNC Bank and its predecessor, BBVA Compass Bank, where she served as head of the Abilene/Stamford retail banking market. Curry is a graduate of the University of the Caribbean in Barranquilla, Columbia.

Anna Duncan has been hired as vice president/commercial lending, focusing on SBA and USDA business development. A veteran banker with more than 30 years of experience, Duncan comes to First State Bank from U.S. Bank in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she served as assistant vice president and SBA business development officer. She is a graduate of Sacramento State University.

Established in 1903, The First State Bank operates branches in Abilene, Menard and Austin.
