Elmer Joins Nebraska-based Security National Bank to Direct Credit Administration in Texas

August 14, 2025

Dan ElmerDan Elmer has joined Omaha, Nebraska-based Security National Bank of Texas as senior vice president/Texas director of credit administration. His office is located at The Union, 2300 N. Field St. in Dallas.

Elmer brings more than 15 years of experience in commercial, corporate and community banking to his new role, with expertise in credit, portfolio management, talent development and market share growth. Prior to joining Security National Bank, he was executive director and credit officer at Texas Capital Bank in Dallas for nearly four years. Earlier banking experience includes stints at U.S. Bank in Dallas and First Business in Leawood, Kansas.

Elmer holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin.

Established in 1964, Security National Bank has $1.8 billion in assets and $2.5 billion in trust and wealth assets under management.
