Wellington-based Wellington State Bank has announced the retirement of Quinn Alexander, senior vice president and branch president of the bank’s Canyon location, following a career of more than 40 years in the Texas Panhandle. Friends, colleagues, family and community members gathered on July 30 in Canyon for a retirement celebration.
Before joining Wellington State Bank in 2019, Alexander held leadership roles with First Paducah Bancshares, First United Bank and The First National Bank of Canadian.
Alexander earned a BBA degree from Eastern New Mexico University and is a graduate of the SW Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. His commitment to service extends beyond banking. He served as mayor of Canyon from 2006 to 2017, helping guide the city through a period of growth and community investment while championing projects that improved the quality of life for residents. Alexander has remained active in numerous civic and charitable organizations over the years and contributed to the success of initiatives that strengthened local education, economic development and community engagement.
