Texas Bank and Trust Co. Welcomes Smith and McElroy

November 2, 2023

Brandon Smith and Kathleen McElroy have joined the staff of Longview-based Texas Bank and Trust Co.

Smith has been hired to serve as vice president and mortgage loan underwriter at the bank’s branch in The Colony. He previously served as senior underwriter with Colonial Savings Mortgage in McKinney and has been involved in the closing, processing and underwriting of real estate loans for more than 20 years. Smith holds a BA degree in business administration from Midwestern State University.

McElroy has joined Texas Bank and Trust as vice president and mortgage loan originator at its Fort Worth location. She previously served as a mortgage loan consultant with Caliber Home Loans/Newrez in Dallas. A member of the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System, she has been involved in the mortgage loan industry in the metroplex since 2005, including conducting education classes for first-time homebuyers. McElroy is a former board member for the nonprofit organization Beauty Blessings Ministry.

Established in 1958, Texas Bank and Trust Co. operates 20 branches throughout East Texas and the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
