The First National Bank of Central Texas Celebrates Opening of College Station Branch

March 12, 2026

Waco-based The First National Bank of Central Texas (FNBCT) has opened its newest banking center in College Station. The brand-new 21,000-square-foot facility is located at 4270 State Hwy. 6 S. To celebrate the opening, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was recently held at the new location. As part of the celebration, the bank made $5,000 donations to 10 local nonprofit organizations:
 

  • The Bridge Ministries of Bryan, Texas
  • Save Our Streets
  • Project Unity
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters
  • Aggieland Pregnancy Outreach
  • Elizabeth House
  • Boys & Girls Clubs of Brazos Valley
  • Brazos County First Responders Association
  • Brazos Valley Cares
  • Brazos Valley Food Bank

“We have been in the market for five years with a small location that has served us well, but it is nice to now provide the community with a modern facility that cements our commitment to excellence in service for years to come,” notes Joe Barrow, chairman and CEO.

Bobby Williamson and Melissa Buchanan are FNBCT’s lenders in College Station. Williamson has been with the bank since it entered the market in 2021. He serves as banking center president for the new location.

Established in 1901, The First National Bank of Central Texas has locations in Waco, Woodway-Hewitt, College Station, China Spring, Mart, Gatesville and Hillsboro.
